Metaverse, Blockchain, AI... 'Tech M Conference' Offers a Preview of the Future

[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] An event discussing insights into the metaverse world intertwined with blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (VR), and augmented reality (AR) will be held.

TechM announced on the 15th that it will hold the "TechM Conference Reimagining the Future" from 2 PM to 6 PM on the 16th.

Kim Hyunki, CEO of TechM, said, "We organized this event to look at companies dreaming of innovation amid the whirlwind of great change and to provide an opportunity to read the rapidly changing trends at the speed of light." He added, "We hope this event will help attendees prepare for the coming era by experiencing new technologies and understanding market trends."

The keynote speeches will be delivered by Jung Jihoon, Chief Vision Officer (CVO) of Everyone's Lab, Yoon Jongyoung, Director of AI Yangjae Hub Center, and Chu Byungjo, KT Master Project Manager (PM). CVO Jung prepared a lecture titled "The Metaverse is Coming." He explained, "The acceleration of digital transformation triggered by COVID-19 has greatly impacted the experience levels of individuals and communities. Games with highly immersive worlds offering freedom, VR devices providing deeper immersive experiences, and blockchain technology connecting with real-world economic systems have become the catalysts opening the era of the metaverse."

Director Yoon will give a lecture titled "AI is Everywhere. What is Your Strategy?" He will explain practical measures and effective strategies necessary for companies aiming to utilize AI.

Master PM Chu is scheduled to lecture on "Application Cases and Hurdles of AR Services in the Manufacturing Industry." He will explain cases of AR services actually applied by KT. Master PM Chu emphasized, "We will clearly share the barriers to applying AR technology in manufacturing sites and discuss strategies for expanding AR service applications and technological development based on this."

Following the keynote speeches, lectures on ▲The Future Changed by the Metaverse ▲The Future Changed by Blockchain ▲The Future Changed by AI ▲The Future Changed by Content will be held. The metaverse session will be led by Choi Sungwon, CEO of Supertree, Lee Seungjun, Co-CEO of AmazeVR, and Ahn Jaeyong, Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) of Xverse. The blockchain session will include Kwon Yongjin, CSO of VIVRIC, and Kim Hyungjun, CEO of Tessa. The AI and content sessions will feature Kim Yoonkyung, Director of ESTsoft, Park Seunggyun, Director of Lunit, Park Jieun, CEO of Pulse9, and Seo Hyuncheol, Head of the Content Business Group at Lezhin.
