‘Dongdaemun-gu COVID-19 Vaccination Center’ Opens, Sequential Vaccinations for Elderly Start from the 15th...Open Mon-Fri 8 AM-5 PM, Sat 8 AM-1 PM, Vaccinations by Appointment Only
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Yoo Deok-yeol) began COVID-19 vaccinations for seniors aged 75 and older at 8 a.m. on the 15th.
To facilitate smooth vaccinations, the district established the 'Dongdaemun-gu COVID-19 Vaccination Center' at Dongdaemun-gu Gymnasium (210-3 Dapsimni-ro).
The 'Dongdaemun-gu COVID-19 Vaccination Center' operates by advance reservation only starting Thursday, the 15th, with weekday hours (Monday to Friday) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Saturdays, it operates only in the morning from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Additionally, considering that the vaccination target group is seniors aged 75 and older, the district announced that transportation vehicles will be operated during the operation period.
Vehicles run four times daily by neighborhood and are available only to those who wish to ride.
On the first day of vaccination, Mayor Yoo Deok-yeol visited and inspected the 'Dongdaemun-gu COVID-19 Vaccination Center' and stated, "Since vaccinations are being administered to the elderly, we will do our best to operate the center safely and without inconvenience. We ask for active participation in vaccination to regain a safe daily life," encouraging COVID-19 vaccination.
Meanwhile, inquiries regarding vehicle boarding can be made at the local community service center of the resident's neighborhood, and inquiries about vaccination can be directed to the call center.
