[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 15th that the inauguration ceremony of the 38th Mayor of Seoul, Oh Se-hoon, will be held on the 22nd at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP).
Considering the COVID-19 situation, this inauguration ceremony will be held online in a non-face-to-face manner at the newly opened video studio inside Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP).
Accordingly, the number of attendees will be minimized to ensure safety and simplicity, including Kim In-ho, Chairman of the Seoul Metropolitan Council, Cho Hee-yeon, Superintendent of Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, and Lee Dong-jin, Chairman of the District Mayors' Association. The ceremony will proceed with citizen wish videos, oath-taking, inaugural speech, and congratulatory messages.
At this inauguration, Mayor Oh Se-hoon will present a vision signaling the beginning of a new Seoul and convey a message that the future direction of city administration will be created together with the citizens.
The inauguration ceremony will be simultaneously broadcast on Seoul City's YouTube and Live Seoul, allowing any citizen to participate.
