[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] Independent lawmaker Hong Joon-pyo expressed discomfort on the 15th, stating that a few members of minority factions are opposing his return to the People Power Party.

On the same day, Hong said on his Facebook, "I have no intention of resolving the issue of rejoining the party by confronting the party," adding, "I hope it will be resolved naturally."

He also said, "So-called faction bosses support my return, but a few minority faction lawmakers are tacitly opposing it, contrary to their boss's views," and added, "Even though the Emergency Response Committee has ended, some close aides brought in by the former committee chairman have not resigned and remain, opposing my return."

Hong pointed out, "When outsiders are calling for unification and recruitment, if you block the return of someone who briefly left their own home, party members and the public will not tolerate it," calling it "Yeomnyangsetae (炎凉世態)"?the fickleness of the world.
