According to industry sources on the 15th, Korea GM has decided to suspend operations at Bupyeong Plants 1 and 2 from the 19th to the 23rd. Previously, Korea GM had been operating at a 50% reduced capacity at Bupyeong Plant 2 since February.
A Korea GM official stated, "The global situation regarding automotive semiconductors remains fluid," adding, "We are working closely with our partners to find solutions for the semiconductor supply and to minimize the impact."
