[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] Saemaeul Geumgo Central Association announced on the 15th that it will conduct the ‘Youth Green Startup Camp’ for young entrepreneurs.
This camp is a program run by the Central Association targeting eco-friendly social venture founders and prospective founders. It provides training for capacity building and business model design workshops. Close mentoring and talk concerts also facilitate meetings with professionals in related fields.
Eligibility requirements include young prospective entrepreneurs aged 19 to 39 interested in startups in the environmental sector, or early-stage startups within three years of establishment. Ten teams will be selected through document screening.
Five teams with outstanding ideas will receive a prize. They will also gain priority selection benefits in the Central Association’s social economy organization tailored growth support project, the ‘MG Hope Sharing Social Growth Support Project.’
A Saemaeul Geumgo official stated, “Through the support project, participants can receive business funds and advice from social economy specialized institutions,” adding, “We will also support the formation of a social enterprise network through mentoring with companies supported in phases 1 to 3.”
The application period is until the 25th, and the camp will be held for three days and two nights starting from the 12th of next month. However, the schedule may change depending on the social distancing level.
