[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Gyeongsangbuk-do announced on the 15th that the Gyeongbuk Fire Headquarters achieved first place nationwide (at the provincial level) in the comprehensive evaluation of the 'National Happiness Fire Policy' conducted in 2020.
Since 2011, the National Fire Agency has been conducting a comprehensive evaluation of the 'National Happiness Fire Policy' by dividing the capabilities of on-site response and fire prevention measures into 92 detailed evaluation indicators across 7 categories. The focus is on strengthening fire safety services close to the people and enhancing on-site disaster response capabilities.
The Gyeongbuk Fire Headquarters was evaluated as having perfectly executed each evaluation indicator, including efforts to promote innovation in fire service organizational culture, strengthening the professionalism of fire officers, securing the golden time for cardiac arrest patients, improving rescue and emergency equipment, and establishing a rapid dispatch system.
In particular, the promotional project "Korea Firefighters United," which captured a song conveying hope and comfort for overcoming disasters such as COVID-19 in a video, created a great response. It was recognized as an excellent nationwide promotional case and was selected as the best content among fire headquarters nationwide in 2020.
Lee Cheol-woo, Governor of Gyeongsangbuk-do, stated, "This excellent achievement is the result of all employees working together with a sense of mission for the primary goal of the safety of the residents," and added, "We will continue to carry out provincial administration to make Gyeongsangbuk-do a comfortable and safe place for residents by establishing disaster prevention activities and a rapid response system."
