Air Busan Volunteers at Animal Shelter for Abandoned Pets... "Joining Local Community Issues"

[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Air Busan announced on the 15th that it conducted volunteer activities for abandoned animals at the Busan Animal Protection Center located in Gangseo-gu, Busan, where its headquarters are situated, the previous day.

This volunteer activity was planned to create a consensus on the protection of abandoned animals and to establish itself as a pet-friendly airline. Air Busan has recently become a pet-friendly airline by actively engaging in pet marketing, such as providing premium pet food free of charge to passengers traveling with pets, in response to the rapid increase in the population of pet owners.

About 20 Air Busan employees who participated in the volunteer activity carried out improvements to the living spaces of abandoned animals, including indoor cleaning of the shelter, washing and disinfecting cages, and replacing waste pads.

They shared emotional bonding with the animals while distributing 300kg of premium pet food "Welz," donated by the pet-specialized company "Wooriwa," which supported the volunteer effort.

Jang Yanghee, Head of Sales and Marketing Team at Air Busan, said, "Busan is the third city with the highest number of abandoned animals among cities and provinces nationwide, and we prepared this volunteer activity to contribute in some way to solving this social issue in the region." He added, "As a pet-friendly airline, we will continue to show interest and carry out various volunteer activities."
