Strong administrative and judicial actions will be taken against violating farms.
In particular, last month, three people were reported to judicial authorities, three corrective orders were issued, and five fines totaling 4.2 million won were imposed on farms, transporters, and processors who illegally dumped or buried livestock manure compost, including livestock carcasses, without complying with composting standards in the area.
Hwang In-su, Director of the Environmental Management Division, emphasized, "We will use this joint inspection as an opportunity to raise awareness among livestock farmers and create a pleasant living environment for residents so that the livestock industry can gain trust."
