Gwanak-gu Announces Support for Youth Community Activities in the Same Industry... 1 Million KRW Support per Team

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Junhee) is publicly recruiting teams to participate in the ‘Same Industry Community Activity Support Contest Project’ until the 23rd to promote exchanges among young people in the same industry who share common interests.

This project is planned to provide a place for young people to share and communicate about the information and concerns they need while working. It supports activity expenses for young people in the same industry who have an interest in a specific field or form a community with a new purpose.

Eligibility for support is open to any club composed of five or more young people aged 19 to 39 working at workplaces located in Seoul. When conducting face-to-face activities, social distancing and quarantine guidelines must be strictly followed, and gatherings of up to four people are allowed.

Clubs wishing to apply can check the announcement on the Gwanak-gu Office website (News & Notices → Gwanak News), fill out the application form and other documents, and submit them by visiting the Youth Policy Division at Gwanak-gu Office or via email (jwbalex@ga.go.kr).

Selection will be made through document and written screening followed by deliberation by the Local Subsidy Review Committee, with final results individually notified in June.

The 10 clubs finally selected will receive support funds of around 1 million KRW each and will carry out club activities for four months from July to October.

For more details, please contact the Youth Policy Division.

Mayor Park Junhee said, “I hope this project will greatly help young workers in the same industry to communicate and build empathy,” adding, “We will continue to discover various projects to revitalize youth culture and do our best to promote them.”
