Putin "Second Dose Completed with Russian-Made Vaccine"

[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on the 14th (local time) that he has completed the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

According to a Kremlin press release, President Putin participated via video in a meeting of the Russian Geographical Society's sponsorship committee and stated, "I just received the second dose before coming here." He added, "I expect the (COVID-19) pandemic to recede soon thanks to vaccines and other efforts."

However, President Putin did not disclose which vaccine he received this time either. Previously, after receiving the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on the 23rd of last month, he also did not reveal which vaccine he was administered.

The Kremlin only stated that President Putin received one of the three vaccines developed domestically in Russia.

So far, Russia has approved three vaccines: the vector-based vaccine 'Sputnik V', the antigen-synthetic vaccine 'EpiVacCorona', and the inactivated vaccine 'CoviVac'.
