According to the legal community on the 14th, Yoo Neungjong, the lawyer representing Seok, submitted a letter of resignation to the court that day. Lawyer Yoo had been involved in the defense since the prosecution indicted Seok and the trial began on the 5th, submitting a statement. Lawyer Yoo stated, "I cannot disclose detailed information," and added, "I have decided to resign because I can no longer continue the defense."

Earlier, after meeting with Seok, Lawyer Yoo mentioned, "She consistently claims that she has never given birth, and her family members say the same," and added, "We will consider the possibility that the test results were incorrect and work to uncover the truth."

Going forward, Seok is expected to appear in court with a public defender. Seok's first trial will be held on the 22nd at the Gimcheon Branch of the Daegu District Court.
