<남부대> Department of Martial Arts Security and Gwangju City Hapkido Association Sign MOU to Train Sports Experts


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] The Department of Martial Arts and Security at Nambu University announced on the 14th that it held an industry-academic cooperation agreement ceremony with the Gwangju Metropolitan City Hapkido Association, affiliated with the Korea Hapkido Federation, on the 13th.


The ceremony was attended by the faculty of the Department of Martial Arts and Security at Nambu University and officials from the Gwangju Hapkido Association.


Through this agreement, the two institutions agreed to promote and expand human resource development to meet the era of cultivating sports experts based on 21st-century educational knowledge, and to establish a system of mutual education, sharing of knowledge, technology information, and educational cooperation.


The main contents of the agreement include ▲ mutual exchange of information regarding operation and institutional development ▲ lectures by personnel from each side and corporate training for professors (instructors) ▲ providing students of the Department of Martial Arts and Security with opportunities for field advancement and internships ▲ utilization of facilities and equipment ▲ participation in educational training (adjunct professors, instructors, special lectures, etc.) ▲ exchange of information regarding employment of training graduates.


Choi Seung-sik, head of the Department of Martial Arts and Security at Nambu University, said, “Despite the unfavorable educational conditions due to COVID-19, we are grateful for the agreement made to develop the department and nurture talent.”


Shin Jeom-pyo, president of the Gwangju Hapkido Association, said, “We hope that through this agreement with the Department of Martial Arts and Security at Nambu University, mutual development and the discovery and advancement of local talent will be supported.”
