Plan to Select a Total of 24 Works from the Maliyasan Tumuli Theme Photos
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongnam Haman-gun announced on the 14th that it will hold the "1st Haman Mari Mountain Tumuli Photo Contest," themed around the Mari Mountain Tumuli.
The Haman Mari Mountain Tumuli, which is the largest single archaeological site in Korea (area of 532,271㎡), is the royal tomb of Ara Gaya, with large mound tombs lined up along the ridge tops at an altitude of 40 to 70 meters.
This appearance is recognized as evidence that empirically demonstrates the civilization of Ara Gaya, which grew and exerted power centered around Haman in the past. Due to its value, it was selected as a candidate for "UNESCO World Heritage Registration" in September 2020.
The county stated that this contest was prepared to increase public interest and participation regarding this.
Anyone who is a citizen of the Republic of Korea can participate by submitting photos featuring various landscapes of the Mari Mountain Tumuli or people with the tumuli as the background.
The submission period is from November 8 to 19. Only photos taken during the announcement period can be submitted.
Applicants can download the contest form from the county office's public notice section, fill out the application and various forms, and submit them along with their entries via email.
Submitted works will be judged based on suitability, communicability, composition, artistry, and originality. A total of 24 works will be selected, including Gold Prize (1 person, 2 million KRW), Silver Prize (1 person, 1 million KRW), Bronze Prize (2 persons, 500,000 KRW), and Honorable Mention (20 persons, 50,000 KRW).
