[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters (Jeju) Reporter Park Chang-won] Won Hee-ryong, Governor of Jeju Province, recorded the third highest public interest among the nine provincial governors nationwide in the first quarter of this year.
According to the Global Big Data Research Institute on the 14th, big data analysis was conducted on the nine provincial governors nationwide across 220,000 sites on 12 channels including news, communities, blogs, cafes, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, KakaoStory, Knowledge iN, companies/organizations, and government/public sectors in the first quarter of this year.
The governors targeted for big data aggregation were selected based on last year's "amount of information".
Public interest refers to the number of online posts (amount of information).
The selected subjects were Lee Jae-myung, Governor of Gyeonggi Province; Kim Kyung-soo, Governor of Gyeongsangnam Province; Won Hee-ryong, Governor of Jeju Province; Lee Cheol-woo, Governor of Gyeongsangbuk Province; Yang Seung-jo, Governor of Chungcheongnam Province; Kim Young-rok, Governor of Jeollanam Province; Choi Moon-soon, Governor of Gangwon Province; Song Ha-jin, Governor of Jeollabuk Province; and Lee Si-jong, Governor of Chungcheongbuk Province.
The analysis method searched using the keywords "name + governor," but only results where the Korean characters between "name" and "governor" were 15 characters or fewer were included, so the actual amount of information may differ somewhat.
The analysis showed that Lee Jae-myung, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, had the highest number with 195,449 cases, followed by Kim Kyung-soo, Governor of Gyeongsangnam Province, with 33,670 cases, and Won Hee-ryong, Governor of Jeju Province, with 27,311 cases.
In particular, the first-place Lee Jae-myung and second-place Kim Kyung-soo showed an overwhelming difference of more than 160,000 cases.
On the other hand, according to the resident registration population status, Won Hee-ryong, Governor of Jeju Province, ranked first in terms of information volume relative to population size.
