Spread of 'n-th Infection' from Gyeongsan City Church... Gyeongbuk Province Reports 14 New Confirmed Cases On the afternoon of the 12th, a representative from SD Biosensor Co., Ltd. in Yeongtong-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, demonstrated a COVID-19 self-diagnostic kit test. A specimen is collected from inside the nose using a swab and placed into the diagnostic reagent for analysis.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Dong-wook] In Gyeongsangbuk-do, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases remained in double digits for the fifth consecutive day on the 13th, due to the spread of n-th generation infections linked to a church in Gyeongsan where a cluster infection occurred.


According to Gyeongbuk Province on the 14th, as of midnight, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in the Gyeongbuk area increased by 14 from the previous day to 3,724 (including 92 imported cases).


New confirmed cases by region were 11 in Gyeongsan City, 2 in Gumi City, and 1 in Pohang City.


Among the 11 new confirmed cases in Gyeongsan City, 7 were related to the cluster infection church. Additionally, one person who had contact with a confirmed case related to a cluster infection at a senior care facility (Gyeongsan case number 1000) tested positive while in self-quarantine. In Pohang City, one contact of a previously confirmed case, Pohang case number 546, also tested positive.


In Gyeongsangbuk-do, 95 people (excluding imported cases) tested positive across various locations over the past week, resulting in a weekly daily average of 13.6 confirmed cases. Currently, 2,251 people are in self-quarantine.
