[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] Kyobo Securities announced on the 13th that it has signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with Quantec, a company providing hyper-personalized asset management solutions.

Hyper-personalized asset management refers to moving away from the traditional method of providing uniform asset management services based on analyzing existing data, to precisely analyzing and processing each individual's past investment information to offer customized investment portfolios.

Quantec is a fintech company that possesses asset management solutions (Q-Engine) and risk management model (Q-X module) technologies. Currently, it has the largest number of algorithms registered in the domestic robo-advisor (RA) testbed, with 27 algorithms.

With this business agreement, Kyobo Securities is expected to accelerate its hyper-personalized asset management business. Kyobo Securities plans to build a personal financial management (PFM) service utilizing Quantec’s technology.

The personal financial management service to be developed by Kyobo Securities will analyze each customer's investment tendencies, asset status, and past investment experiences to provide customized portfolios tailored to each individual. It will also continuously detect abnormal phenomena in the financial market and actively manage the proportion of risky assets.

In the future, by leveraging various financial and non-financial data obtained through entry into the MyData business, Kyobo Securities plans to further strengthen its hyper-personalized asset management services.

An Jo-young, Head of Management Planning at Kyobo Securities, said, “Push-type recommendation services that propose the same investment portfolio without considering individual investment tendencies have reached their limits. The hyper-personalized asset management service we are promoting this time will provide customers with a special investment experience through customized asset management for each individual.”

Meanwhile, Kyobo Securities plans to offer various services to build a digital platform based on financial MyData in line with the group’s digital innovation transformation. To this end, it will continuously expand business partnerships not only with Kyobo group companies but also with financial institutions, non-financial sectors, and fintech companies.
