[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-su] The "Living One Week in Gangjin" project, a lifestyle tourism revitalization initiative promoted by Gangjin County, has received great response and is fully booked.
According to the county on the 13th, "Living One Week in Gangjin" applies the rural homestay brand Puso (FU-SO) to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's lifestyle tourism contest project. Participants stay for 6 nights and 7 days at farms, living with locals and enjoying a variety of experiences such as culture, tourism, and hands-on activities in Gangjin, making it a stay-type tourism program that brings joy and happiness.
Starting from the 15th of last month, "Living One Week in Gangjin" reached its target of 600 reservations within three weeks of opening registration. Accordingly, the county announced this on the Living One Week in Gangjin website and is informing additional inquirers that reservations are closed.
Due to limited budget reasons, the county regrets having to close reservations but plans to resume operations once the budget is secured in the future.
Kim Bada, CEO of the Gangjin County Culture and Tourism Foundation, said, "As Gangjin County is gaining attention as a COVID-19 clean travel destination and tourist visits are increasing, we will do our best to strengthen quarantine activities to ensure safe travel."
