Muan-gun Operates Various Cultural Education Programs for Youth

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Oh Hwan-ju] Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 13th that it will operate various cultural education programs for one year, starting with the 2021 Begin Again youth activity 'Spring Edition,' to support the healthy growth of adolescents whose activities have been restricted due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.

The county plans to recruit a total of 40 students, 10 per subject, from elementary, middle, and high school students in the area for four programs: software coding science, embroidery class for cherished items, leather craft class, and nail art class, until the 22nd.

Classes will be held twice a week for two hours each at the Youth Training Center while adhering to COVID-19 prevention guidelines. The county will reconsider whether to open the programs if the COVID-19 prevention level is raised during the recruitment period to ensure the safety of the youth.

For more details about the programs, refer to the notices on the county website or contact the Resident Life Division of Muan County Office.

A county official said, "Considering the safety of the youth, we are operating the programs with a focus on COVID-19 prevention and on a minimal scale," adding, "We ask for much interest and applications for this Begin Again youth program, which consists of various hobby activities."

Meanwhile, last year, Muan-gun operated a non-face-to-face 'Stay Home' project series for youth, which received great responses from local adolescents.
