[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] Korea Asset Management Corporation (KAMCO) delivered 60 million won in support funds for the 'Digital Study Room' at the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education on the 13th.

The Digital Study Room is a project aimed at improving the learning environment for low-income families. It was launched to support local children and adolescents facing difficulties due to the prolonged online classes caused by COVID-19.

On the 30th of last month, KAMCO accepted applicants through the Office of Education and the Multicultural Family Support Center. Forty households were selected based on their economic situation and study plans.

Selected families are provided with laptops for smooth online classes. To support customized talent development, they are also assisted in purchasing desired learning equipment such as musical instruments, sports equipment, and desks and chairs.

Moon Sung-yoo, President of KAMCO, emphasized, “We hope children and adolescents can study and grow in a better environment,” adding, “KAMCO will continue to foster the value of sharing.”
