Dong-Eui University and Artificial Intelligence Association Join Hands for AI R&D and Workforce Development Project

AI Grand ICT Research Center and Korea Artificial Intelligence Association Sign Cooperation Agreement

Collaborate on Building AI Ecosystem, Industrial Intelligence, and Expert Training

On the 12th, Dong-Eui University Artificial Intelligence Grand ICT Research Center and the Korea Artificial Intelligence Association signed an agreement to cooperate in technology development and talent cultivation.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Dong-Eui University and the Korea Artificial Intelligence Association have joined hands for extensive exchange and cooperation in AI research and development and workforce training.

Dong-Eui University (President Han Su-hwan) Artificial Intelligence Grand ICT Research Center (Director Jeong Seok-chan) signed a business cooperation agreement with the Korea Artificial Intelligence Association (Chairman Kim Hyun-chul) on April 12th at 3 PM in the PRIME Convention Multipurpose Hall on the first floor of the Dong-Eui University Industry-Academic Cooperation Building.

Through this agreement, both organizations agreed to mutually cooperate in △ AI-related technology exchange and research and development △ AI dissemination and expansion and building an artificial intelligence network ecosystem △ AI-related certification and education projects △ AI-related workforce training.

The event was attended by Jeong Seok-chan, Director of Dong-Eui University Artificial Intelligence Grand ICT Research Center, Kim Hyun-chul, Chairman of the Korea Artificial Intelligence Association, Secretary General Kwon Young-jun, and other officials.

Jeong Seok-chan, Director of Dong-Eui University Artificial Intelligence Grand ICT Research Center, stated, “AI is the core of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. We plan to jointly develop AI-related technologies needed by local companies with the Korea Artificial Intelligence Association to support the enhancement of companies’ AI technological competitiveness, and operate various information exchanges and cooperative projects to advance AI-related education projects.”

Kim Hyun-chul, Chairman of the Korea Artificial Intelligence Association, said, “We will build a strong partnership with Dong-Eui University Artificial Intelligence Grand ICT Research Center, which is leading the AI-centered city in the establishment of the Southeast Mega City, and focus on training AI and software workforce tailored to industrial sites, employment, and fostering AI learning and research infrastructure.”

The Korea Artificial Intelligence Association was established in 2017 with the goal of popularizing AI and building a knowledge network in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, currently involving over 400 AI companies.

It is conducting various government-linked projects such as AI education content development, building an open platform for AI developers, and AI-related certification and issuance projects.

Through this agreement with Dong-Eui University Artificial Intelligence Grand ICT Research Center, they plan to carry out even more diverse projects together.
