Lee Jun-seok "Is Feminism the Bible? Memorize It"

Lee Jun-seok "Is Feminism the Bible? Memorize It" Former Supreme Council Member of the People Power Party, Lee Jun-seok.

[Asia Economy Reporter Jumi Lee] Former People Power Party Supreme Council member Lee Jun-seok, who has been clashing with feminism day after day, responded to the criticism that "feminism is the basic value of life in this era" by saying, "Is feminism the Bible to you? Memorize it then."

On the 12th, Lee said on his Facebook, "Now it's an enlightenment ideology, so there's even an order to just memorize feminism."

Lee shared a column criticizing his 'anti-feminism' stance and said, "I will not separately point out what kind of frivolity it is to compare criticism of feminism to a wrong prejudice against Black people."

He added, "I miss Professor Jin Joong-kwon when I come across such writing while talking with him."

Earlier that day, Lee also criticized the Korea Scholarship Foundation's policy recommending that 30-35% of the recipients of the 2021 national excellence scholarships in science and engineering be female students.

He argued, "The proportion of female students in science and engineering is 20%, but if you set up a partition to give 35% of the national scholarships to women, is this fair or unfair?" and "Students should be judged on scholarship awards based on ability and family circumstances, so why should gender appear as a partition?"

Previously, Lee had a verbal dispute with former Professor Jin over feminism. On the 11th, Lee criticized, "(Those who declared themselves feminists) originally have nothing in content, so they gain a sense of belonging from just one term and mistakenly think they are superior by that term alone." In response, Jin pointed out, "You keep trying populism that uses hatred or resentment... What are you going to do by turning everyone into an enemy?"
