Woori Bank, First Foreign Bank to Jointly Build 'Next-Generation Financial Payment Network'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Woori Bank announced on the 13th that it has completed the establishment of the 'Next-Generation Automated Clearing House (ACH)' system, being the only foreign bank selected for the new financial payment network project led by the State Bank of Vietnam.

Woori Bank Vietnam was the only foreign bank among the nine commercial banks in Vietnam selected to build the next-generation financial payment network system, conducted under the Vietnamese government's policy to promote cashless payment methods.

Through the newly established system, payments for public utility bills, card payments, and others can be made not only from the accounts of Woori Bank Vietnam customers but also from the accounts of participating banks, facilitating the acquisition of new customers.

A Woori Bank official stated, "Being selected for a project led by the local central bank significantly enhances our brand image," adding, "By establishing the next-generation financial payment network, we will respond to local government policies by securing new customers and launching new services, while continuously strengthening customized marketing."
