[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Jo] SK Telecom, which has positioned an AI-based 'subscription model' as a core strategy in the mobile network operator (MNO) business, has now launched a bakery subscription service.
On the 13th, SK Telecom announced that it will operate a bakery subscription service until June 30, offering up to 30% discount on all bakery products purchased at Paris Baguette.
By paying a monthly subscription fee, customers receive a discount of 300 KRW per 1,000 KRW spent, with a daily purchase discount limit of 30,000 KRW and a monthly purchase discount limit of 100,000 KRW. The monthly subscription fee (7,000 KRW) is also offered at a 30% discount, priced at 4,900 KRW. After subscribing via SK Telecom customer centers, agencies, or the T World website, customers can use their T Membership barcode or plastic card at Paris Baguette stores to receive an immediate discount at checkout. For example, a customer purchasing a Paris Baguette cheesecake worth 25,000 KRW can get a 7,500 KRW discount on the spot.
Yoon Jae-woong, head of subscription marketing at SK Telecom, said, “We have currently launched subscription services in education, rental, and bakery sectors, and plan to release new products through discussions with various partner companies in diverse fields going forward.”
