The Crop-specific Customized Safety Management Practice Pilot Project is a project aimed at preventing agricultural work accidents and improving safety by diagnosing and improving risk factors considering the work stages for each crop in the agricultural field.
The county first held a session on the 7th emphasizing the direction of consulting promotion and the importance of agricultural work safety by an agricultural work safety expert for the Promotion Committee of Imsil Osu Peach Agricultural Cooperative Corporation selected for the pilot project.
Peach work frequently causes musculoskeletal disorders due to uncomfortable postures and repetitive motions over long periods, pesticide poisoning, and ladder fall accidents, making agricultural work safety management measures urgent.
Starting with this consulting, risk analysis and safety management level evaluation for each stage of peach work will be conducted, and risk factors will be improved through the distribution of agricultural work safety equipment and protective gear, as well as agricultural work safety education.
County Governor Shim Min said, “I hope this project will serve as an opportunity to prevent agricultural work safety accidents,” and added, “We will continue to support the improvement of farmers’ safety awareness and the creation of a safe agricultural work environment.”
