Application Accepted from the 1st to 7th of Every Month... Support for Language Test Fees and Interview Outfit Rental
Up to 50,000 KRW per Session, Twice Annually per Project
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Muan County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 12th that it will provide job-seeking activity expenses to 340 unemployed youth within the county to alleviate the difficulties faced by young job seekers, marking the first such initiative in Jeollanam-do.
This project was selected based on the opinions of youth gathered during the youth policy discovery meeting held last year.
Eligibility for application is unemployed youth aged between 19 and 45 residing in Muan County as of the application date. Language test fees and interview outfit rental fees will be supported up to twice per year per project, with a maximum of 50,000 KRW per occasion.
Those wishing to apply can submit the application form and required documents online between the 1st and 7th of each month. The county plans to review the final candidates at the end of each month and provide the support funds accordingly.

Governor Kim San stated, “We hope this support project will help reduce the financial burden on job seekers and increase employment rates,” adding, “We will continue to be a reliable supporter for Muan County’s youth so that they can focus steadily on their job search activities.”
Meanwhile, a survey conducted last year on 573 job seekers regarding ‘job preparation items and costs’ showed that the average annual expenditure per job seeker was 3.78 million KRW. The expenditure breakdown was in the order of language class fees, language test fees, interview transportation costs, and interview outfit purchase and rental, indicating that this project is expected to provide practical help to the youth.
