Recruitment of Businesses Participating in the 'Self-Employed Companion Program' in Buk-gu, Gwangju

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Moon In) announced on the 12th that it will recruit 20 businesses to participate in the '2021 Self-Employed Companion Program' until the 23rd.

The eligible participants are small business owners who have been operating in Buk-gu for more than six months as of the announcement date.

The project provides up to 2.5 million KRW per business to improve the management environment by supporting advertising costs, interior design, promotional material production, installation of safety and hygiene facilities, replacement of indoor and outdoor signs, etc., after close consulting for up to four months (a total of 8 sessions).

The consulting team, composed of professional consultants from the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency and dedicated public officials from Buk-gu Office for follow-up management, identifies vulnerable areas through management diagnosis, customized prescriptions, inspections, and guidance, and suggests solutions.

Participants will be selected through evaluation by external judges and finalized in May. Small business owners who have participated in Buk-gu startup education and comprehensive consulting, as well as those in daily life-related industries, will be given preference.

Applications can be submitted by visiting or sending registered mail to the Civil Economy Division, referring to the Buk-gu Office website.
