Domestic Pesticide-Free Bean Sprouts (300g) 900 KRW, Tofu Half Portion 1+1 Set 2200 KRW, etc.
Low Prices with High-Quality Products Including Organic, Pesticide-Free, HACCP, and Grade 1 Items
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Market Kurly announced on the 12th that it will implement an EDLP (Every Day Low Price) policy to sell more than 60 basic food items such as vegetables, fruits, seafood, meat, dairy products, rice, and gim at the lowest prices throughout the year.
Market Kurly operates a dedicated section called 'Kurly Shopping Basket Essentials' applying the EDLP policy, offering about 60 popular food items including fresh foods like basic vegetables, fruits, seafood, meat, dairy products, as well as rice, gim, and ramen at the lowest prices in the online mall. To achieve this, Market Kurly monitors the prices of the same products at major online marts daily, reflects the price range in the product selling price, and sets the lowest price.
Representative products include 'Kim Guwon Teacher' domestically grown pesticide-free soybean sprouts sold at 900 KRW per 300g. 'Jongga Jip' Morning On domestic whole savory tofu half block is sold at 2,200 KRW despite being a basic 1+1 set. Grade 1 Korean beef for soup 300g and GAP practical apples 1.5kg are offered at around 9,000 KRW each.
Market Kurly stated, "We do not simply lower the prices of EDLP products but carefully consider taste and production methods to offer high-quality products." The soybean sprouts are grown in an environment without pesticides and using chemical fertilizers within one-third of the recommended amount. The milk is domestic grade 1 A raw milk produced at a dedicated farm directly managed by Yonsei Milk. The Korean beef and chicken are grade 1 domestic products produced in HACCP-certified facilities, and the white rice is top-grade rice grown cleanly without pesticides using organic farming methods. Market Kurly discloses production details on each product’s description page so customers can directly verify product quality.
Market Kurly plans to expand the categories of the 'Kurly Shopping Basket Essentials' section, currently focused on food items, to include living products such as roll tissue and beauty tissues within the first half of the year.
Meanwhile, Market Kurly is running a new customer expansion campaign featuring actor Park Seo-joon as a model until May 31. The campaign includes a 100 KRW deal where customers can purchase popular Market Kurly products for 100 KRW, and a free shipping event where the free shipping time is determined based on the first purchase payment amount.
