[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) announced on the 9th that it signed an "Agreement to Support Couples Counseling for Families at Risk of Recurring Domestic Violence" with the Pine Tree Counseling Welfare Center (Director Song Min-seo).

This agreement was established to fundamentally resolve domestic violence issues by identifying the causes of discord through couples counseling for families at risk of recurring domestic violence.

The target group consists of five couples from domestic violence victim households linked to the Jungnang-gu Crisis Family Integrated Support Center, with a health insurance premium income standard of 140% or less, who can receive 10 sessions of couples counseling.

Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, "We will strive to ensure that victims of domestic violence can receive help as close to them as possible through continuous communication and cooperation with related organizations in the region."

Opened in December 2018, the Jungnang-gu Crisis Family Integrated Support Center provides proactive and systematic customized welfare services in cooperation with the police for families in crisis situations such as domestic violence, neglect, and abuse.

Up to last year, 2,170 households have received assistance.
