Ha Tae-kyung, a member of the People Power Party, was appointed as the chairman, and Hwang Bo-seung-hee and Kim Hee-gon, also members of the People Power Party, were selected as chief spokespersons.
All five current opposition party lawmakers joined, along with local council members and former local government officials. Two foreigners also stood out, and the popular magician Choi Hyun-woo was also selected.
The committee will operate by selecting experts from various sectors including Busan entrepreneurs, politicians, professors, and foreigners.
Among the first selected members are five People Power Party lawmakers: Ha Tae-kyung, Hwang Bo-seung-hee, Kim Hee-gon, Park Soo-young, and Ahn Byung-gil.
