The sewage relay pump station is a facility equipped with pumps and other equipment that transport domestic sewage from each household to public sewage treatment facilities. The Mang-gyeong relay pump station was installed and has been operating since 1994 to transfer sewage from the Sinan, Pyeonggeo, Panmun, and Sangbong district intercepting sewers.
A city official stated, "We will do our best to manage the relay pump station by operating stable odor reduction facilities to prevent the spread of odors around the Mang-gyeong relay pump station."
