[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City in Gyeongnam announced on the 11th that it will invest 4.1 billion KRW to recruit 780 people for the Jinju-type 2nd and Hope Work Job Projects in response to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
This public job project includes ▲ 89 people for vaccine inoculation support ▲ 338 people for public facility use such as traditional markets, bus terminals, health centers, and eup/myeon/dong regional quarantine projects ▲ 353 people for creating a clean environment, managing public facilities, and administrative support.
The recruitment period for the Jinju-type job project is from April 12 to 16. Eligible applicants must be between 18 and 64 years old with the ability to work as of the project start date.
The work period varies by project type, starting from May 3 and lasting several months. Vaccine inoculation support lasts 7 months, daily quarantine support lasts 4 months, and other projects last 3 months.
Daily working hours are 4 to 6 hours. The wage is 8,720 KRW per hour, with additional transportation and snack allowances, weekly holiday and annual leave pay, and mandatory enrollment in the four major insurances.
Citizens wishing to participate should prepare identification and related documents and apply at their local eup/myeon office or dong administrative welfare center. However, those who are already participating in other public job projects, recipients of unemployment benefits, families of public officials, and recipients of public pensions are restricted from participating.
A Jinju city official stated, "Through this 2nd Jinju-type job provision, we will greatly contribute to protecting citizens' health from COVID-19 by supporting vaccination for all citizens and regional quarantine, as well as ensuring stable livelihoods."
