A Man in His 40s Falls 4m Below Railing into Dongcheon in Busan... Found on a Rock Island 100m Away

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Yong-woo] A delivery motorcycle crashed into a roadside guardrail and fell into a stream. The delivery worker sustained injuries to his arms and legs and was rescued by 119 emergency services.
According to the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency, at around 5:30 a.m. on the 11th, a motorcycle driven by a man in his 40s, Mr. A, crashed into a guardrail next to the entrance ramp to the Sasang-bound Dongseo Overpass in Bujeon-dong, Busanjin-gu, and fell 4 meters down into Dongcheon Stream.
Police officers from the Seomyeon Police Substation of the Busanjin Police Station responded to the report but found only the motorcycle and a mobile phone at the scene.
After about 15 minutes of searching, the police found the driver drifting about 100 meters downstream to a rocky islet in Dongcheon River, suffering from a fractured leg and waiting for help, and requested rescue from 119.
At around 8:48 a.m., the 119 rescue team arrived and transported Mr. A to the hospital.
The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident after receiving a statement from Mr. A that the accident occurred due to brake failure and that he waited for rescue after the fall.
