[Asia Economy Reporter Seo So-jeong] The first flight schedule of NASA's Mars helicopter 'Ingenuity' has been postponed.
On the 10th (local time), NASA postponed the flight schedule due to a technical issue that occurred during a test of rapidly spinning Ingenuity's rotor blades, AFP reported.
NASA had planned to launch Ingenuity at 10:54 PM Eastern Time on the 11th (11:54 AM Korean time on the 12th), but postponed it to after the 14th.
According to materials posted on NASA's website, before Ingenuity's flight, a test was conducted to spin the rotors at high speed, but the test ended early as a monitoring timer indicating a potential problem was triggered.
NASA is conducting remote diagnostics to identify the issue and plans to reschedule the high-speed rotor spin test.
