'Breast Cancer Battle' Park Jeong-a "Kim Taeyeon Plays a Bigger Role Than Chemotherapy" (Let's Do It, My Daughter)

[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Sumi] Singer Kim Taeyeon visited her mentor, master singer Park Jeonga, who is battling breast cancer, to express her gratitude. Park Jeonga also showed her affection for Kim Taeyeon, warmly touching the hearts of viewers.

On the new TV Chosun variety show "Let's Do My Daughter," which aired on the 9th, Kim Taeyeon visited Park Jeonga's home to perform a song as a filial gesture. Previously, Park Jeonga had revealed on the show that she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. She warmly welcomed her disciple, and Kim Taeyeon respectfully performed a deep bow.

Kim Taeyeon then gifted Park Jeonga with lily clams and webfoot octopus. This thoughtful gift was prepared recalling the time when Park Jeonga enjoyed eating lily clams deliciously in the past.

Additionally, Kim Taeyeon read aloud a letter she had posted on her SNS before the finals, addressed to Park Jeonga. Kim Taeyeon said, "Do you remember what you told me when I was going to participate in 'Miss Trot 2'? You said that if I made it into the TOP 3, your cancer would be completely cured."

She continued, "I'm trying hard to keep that promise, but it's not going well. Even if I don't make it into the TOP 3, you have to get fully cured. I will definitely visit you after it's over. I love you," and Park Jeonga shed tears.

Kim Taeyeon also conveyed her feelings for her mentor Park Jeonga through a song. She passionately sang "Taeyeon Says," a parody of Jang Minho's "Men Say," and Park Jeonga hugged Kim Taeyeon, expressing her gratitude by saying, "Our Taeyeon has played a bigger role than chemotherapy. To me, she is number one."
