[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Son Seon-hee] Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun encouraged examinees on the 10th, when the first qualification exam for elementary, middle, and high school graduation recognition was held this year, saying, "I myself am also a qualification exam graduate," and "Being poor does not mean your dreams have to be poor."

On that day, Prime Minister Chung wrote on his Facebook, "For me, the qualification exam was the soil that allowed me to step into a new world and the nourishment that nurtured my dreams."

Recalling his school days, Prime Minister Chung said, "Due to financial difficulties, I could not enter middle school," and "After graduating from elementary school, I helped with household chores by carrying firewood and cultivating firewood fields for over a year." He added, "Although it was not an official school, I walked 16 km round trip every day to attend a tuition-free high public school and completed the middle school curriculum through the qualification exam."

Prime Minister Chung emphasized, "Even now, many people take the qualification exam for various reasons, even if their family circumstances are not difficult," and "The qualification exam is still a challenge, passion, and hope."

On this day, Prime Minister Chung referred to the qualification exam examinees as 'peers' and cheered, "This is just the beginning. I hope you face the future confidently without giving up hope."
