[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] A tragic accident occurred at a zoo in China where a visitor accidentally dropped their pet dog into a wolf enclosure, resulting in the dog's death.
According to overseas media such as the UK Daily Mail on the 8th, recently at a private zoo called Wild Wolf Valley near Changji City in the Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, a visitor accidentally dropped their pet dog inside the fence.
Another visitor who captured the incident on camera said, "A woman was watching the wolves from the observation deck when she slipped and accidentally dropped the dog she was holding."
The dog that fell into the wolf enclosure was known to be a Shichon, a mix between a Shih Tzu and a Bichon Frise.
The video shows seven wolves attacking the dog that fell inside the fence. Visitors watching the horrific scene screamed in shock.
The wolves fought among themselves to claim the dog that had fallen into the enclosure. Three wolves remained, two of which gave up the fight. The last remaining wolf quickly left the scene carrying the dead dog in its mouth.
Local media did not report whether the dead dog was retrieved from the wolves or if it was eaten before being taken out.
