[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The Gangseo-gu District Office in Seoul (District Mayor Noh Hyun-song) has officially launched the 'Street Vendor Win-Win Policy Council' (hereinafter referred to as the Council).

On the afternoon of the 9th, the district held a meeting of the Street Vendor Win-Win Policy Council in the large conference room on the 3rd floor of the district office, marking the start of full-scale activities to promote the street vendor permit system.

The Council, composed of 15 members including street vendors, merchants, and resident representatives, will serve as a central point for the street vendor permit project by seeking solutions to conflicts among stakeholders, selecting pilot areas for the street vendor permit system, and promoting the real-name system for street vendors.

District Mayor Noh Hyun-song said, “I hope that through continuous communication and consultation, a reasonable policy that everyone can agree on will be derived,” and urged, “Please gather everyone's wisdom so that a win-win plan can be prepared where street vendors, local merchants, and residents can coexist harmoniously.”
