Youn Yuh-jung Competes for Best Supporting Actress at Independent Spirit Awards
Han Ye-ri, an actress from the film 'Minari,' has signed a contract with a Hollywood management company. According to the American entertainment media Deadline on the 8th (local time), she recently signed a contract with Hollywood's Echo Lake Entertainment for managing her activities in the United States. Starting with attending the Academy Awards ceremony on the 25th of this month, she plans to discuss her future activities in the U.S.
Echo Lake Entertainment is a comprehensive agency that manages actors, directors, and writers, while also producing films and dramas. Since 1998, it has invested in and produced over thirty films. Notably, 'Gangster No. 1' (2005) won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 2006.
Han Ye-ri played Monica, the wife of a Korean family who migrated to Arkansas in the southern United States, in 'Minari,' which was nominated in six categories at the Academy Awards. She is currently nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Independent Spirit Awards, an independent film award ceremony held three days before the Oscars. She competes for the trophy alongside Youn Yuh-jung, with whom she worked closely, as well as Alexis Chikaeze from 'Miss Juneteenth,' Valerie Mahaffey from 'French Exit,' and Thalia Ryder from 'Never Rarely Sometimes Always.'
