Chairman Sohn Tae-seung Holds Relay Meetings with Subsidiary Employees... "On-site Management" Son Tae-seung, Chairman of Woori Financial Group, is communicating with subsidiary executives and employees in the conference room on the 23rd floor of Woori Bank's headquarters located in Jung-gu, Seoul, on the 9th.


[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi]Son Tae-seung, Chairman of Woori Financial Group, will hold sequential meetings with employees of all subsidiaries throughout April to strengthen communication with the subsidiaries.


On the 9th, Woori Financial Group announced that since Chairman Son has focused on expanding the business portfolio after his inauguration, he prioritized subsidiaries incorporated after the establishment of the holding company and held meetings with employees by visiting Woori Financial Capital and Woori Financial Savings Bank, which became part of the group at the end of last year.


On the same day, Chairman Son visited a branch counter of Woori Financial Savings Bank and personally subscribed to a deposit product, taking time to listen to opinions from the sales field. At this occasion, Chairman Son said, “With the recent implementation of the Financial Consumer Protection Act, we must completely change the existing financial product sales practices,” and urged, “All subsidiaries should actively work to ensure the smooth implementation and early settlement of the Financial Consumer Protection Act.”


Additionally, he told the employees of newly incorporated subsidiaries attending the meeting, “Please make this year a time to achieve the best synergy within the comprehensive financial group system and to take a step forward in the industry,” and spent time discussing the development direction of the respective subsidiaries with the attending executives.


Chairman Son plans to arrange direct communication sessions with operational-level employees of subsidiaries as soon as the COVID-19 situation improves, and from the second quarter, he intends to strengthen support for existing subsidiaries to reinforce the cohesion of the group system.


A Woori Financial Group official stated, “Since Chairman Son announced a new vision and slogan at the beginning of this year, marking the third year of the group system, individual meetings with employees of all subsidiaries will serve as a starting point to approach customers as ‘the first financial institution in our hearts.’”
