This evaluation comprehensively assessed Gimhae City's implementation status and efforts of the Horticulture Industry Comprehensive Plan, including production and distribution sectors. The city was recognized for its proactive project promotion will and systematic execution capability.
In particular, in the indicators for fostering basic producer organizations and total handling amount of integrated marketing organizations, the city achieved 27.7 billion KRW in 2019 and 30.1 billion KRW in 2020, showing a 9% growth compared to the previous year.
As an incentive for the A grade, the city will receive priority selection for mountain area-related projects and 3 billion KRW interest-free funding to revitalize mountain area distribution for integrated marketing organizations within the jurisdiction.
A Gimhae City official stated, “It is expected to be a great help to farmers who are facing difficulties due to the rapidly diversifying distribution environment,” and added that they will do their best in agricultural administration tasks, including discovering new policies for farmers.
