[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Lee Jae-myung, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, ranked 2nd in the nationwide evaluation of metropolitan governors in March. According to a survey conducted by Realmeter from February 22 to March 1 and March 25 to 30, targeting 17,000 voters aged 18 and over nationwide using a random digit dialing (RDD) automated response telephone method, Lee Jae-myung ranked 2nd for two consecutive months in the evaluation of 15 metropolitan governors nationwide in March. Until now, he had consistently held the 1st place position.
In this survey, the positive evaluation of "doing well" for Governor Lee was 61.4%. The 1st place was taken by Kim Young-rok, Governor of Jeollanam-do (65.1%).
Following were Lee Cheol-woo, Governor of Gyeongsangbuk-do (52.7%), Song Ha-jin, Governor of Jeollabuk-do (50.7%), Kwon Young-jin, Mayor of Daegu (49.1%), Yang Seung-jo, Governor of Chungcheongnam-do (47.3%), Choi Moon-soon, Governor of Gangwon-do (47.1%), and Lee Yong-seop, Mayor of Gwangju (46.1%).
Kim Kyung-soo, Governor of Gyeongsangnam-do, who is mentioned as a presidential candidate, ranked 10th with 45.2%, and Won Hee-ryong, Governor of Jeju Province, ranked 9th with 45.8%.
The life satisfaction of residents showed that Gyeonggi Province was at the highest level nationwide.
In this survey, 67% of Gyeonggi residents responded that they were satisfied with their lives. This is the first time in 27 months since December 2018 that the life satisfaction of Gyeonggi residents ranked 1st.
Following were Jeollanam-do (64.2%) and Jeju Province (64.0%) ranked 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
Meanwhile, in the March evaluation survey of 17 metropolitan superintendents nationwide, Lee Jae-jung, Superintendent of Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, recorded a positive evaluation of 38.5%, ranking 9th among the 17 metropolitan superintendents nationwide.
