Cyworld, Announcing 'May Revival', Resumes Homepage Access

[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Cyworld, which announced the revival of its service in May, reopened access to its homepage on the 9th. However, only 3D Minimi was made available on the homepage, and no other services are currently provided.

CyworldZ stated on the day, "Cyworld, which had been inaccessible even for homepage access since the service suspension in October 2019, has been connected to the Cyworld web server within SKT IDC after 16 months."

According to the company, Cyworld has been developing its service since announcing its revival in February, and on the 19th of last month, the Cyworld server at SKT IDC, where the customer database (DB) is stored, was opened, allowing smooth restoration of past data.

On the Cyworld main screen released that day, a speech bubble appears with the phrase "Cyworld, the untold story is about to begin" along with a 3D Minimi.

The company plans to provide an "ID Finder" service for members who have forgotten their IDs in the future.

CyworldZ said, "A special Cyworld will begin where the 2D Minimi generation waiting for Cyworld Classic and the 3D Minimi generation entering the Metaverse Cyworld can enjoy together."

Meanwhile, the company plans to normalize existing Cyworld services such as Minihompy by May.
