Suncheon City Provides Labor Expert Consultation Support to Social Economy Enterprises

Signing of Labor Advisory Agreement for Creating a Healthy Work Environment

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Heo Seok) announced on the 8th that it will provide labor expert consultation support on overall personnel and labor management for social economy enterprises until the end of December.

The city signed an agreement with Labor Corporation Mirae on the 31st of last month to support labor consultation in order to create a healthy labor environment for social economy enterprises and to preemptively resolve risk factors of disputes between business owners and workers.

According to this agreement, social economy enterprises located in Suncheon City will be able to receive consultations not only on matters such as wages and working hours but also on industrial accidents, industrial safety and health, and overall labor-related laws, which is expected to alleviate difficulties in labor management.

Social economy enterprises wishing to receive consultation can fill out the consultation application form on the Suncheon City Social Economy Support Center blog and submit it via the support center's email, after which they can receive free consultations by phone or in person.

In particular, social enterprises are expected to prevent fraudulent receipt of subsidies in financial support projects and job creation fields in advance through legal advice on work plans and overall labor work, and also improve labor transparency.

A representative of a social economy enterprise said, "The Labor Standards Act keeps being amended, so I was worried about how to change the labor environment, but now I feel relieved because I can get advice from experts anytime."
