[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do announced on the 8th that it will revise the 'Gyeongsangnam-do Apartment Complex Management Regulations Standard' to strengthen the prohibition of worker harassment and to include provisions that guarantee the rights of residents.
The 'Apartment Complex Management Regulations Standard' is a detailed guideline that serves as a basis when residents establish or amend the management regulations of their apartment complex.
Residents of apartment complexes in the province set the management regulations of their respective complexes by referring to the management regulations standard established by the province.
The revised standard reflects amendments to higher-level laws related to apartment complexes, and supplements and improves recommendations for system improvements and operational deficiencies of the standard.
The main revisions include strengthening the prevention of harassment of security guards and other management office staff, mandating the management entity to provide guidance on evacuation facilities, improving security vulnerabilities in intelligent home networks, and matters related to the dismissal of building representatives and election management committee members.
This revised standard subdivides the harassment prevention provisions into 'Prohibition of Work Interference,' 'Prohibition of Harassment within Apartment Complexes,' and 'Measures to Take When Harassment Occurs within Apartment Complexes.'
In particular, various work procedures and periods within apartment complexes have been clarified, and annexed and supplementary forms have been changed to be more user-friendly for residents.
The full text of the Gyeongsangnam-do Apartment Complex Management Regulations Standard can be found in the announcements section on the province's official website.
According to the supplementary provisions of the 'Apartment Complex Management Act Enforcement Decree,' resident representative meetings of apartment complexes in the province must amend their management regulations by May 6. They must report to the mayor or county governor of the jurisdiction within 30 days from the date of amendment.
