Samyangsa SubQ Holds Bakery and Confectionery Seminar with Korea Tourism University


[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] Samyang Group's food and chemical affiliate Samyang Corporation announced on the 8th that its food ingredient distribution brand SubQ successfully completed the 'Bakery and Confectionery Technology Seminar' held at Korea Tourism College.


This seminar was conducted in a webinar format in accordance with quarantine guidelines due to the spread of COVID-19. A webinar is a compound word of Web and Seminar, referring to an interactive multimedia presentation conducted on a website.


SubQ continuously holds bakery and confectionery technology seminars throughout the year, touring major cities nationwide to strengthen the competitiveness of small neighborhood bakeries and self-employed bakery owners who face difficulties in new product development and promotion. This webinar was especially meaningful as it was conducted as a special lecture format, with participation not only from small business owners and bakery-related personnel but also students from the Hotel Bakery and Confectionery Department of Korea Tourism College.


After the seminar, bakery masters affiliated with Samyang Corporation's SubQ will visit the applicants' stores directly to conduct on-site menu demonstrations and technical guidance. A Samyang Corporation official stated, “SubQ plans to continue this win-win management program this year as well, actively utilizing online platforms to assist small business owners and prospective entrepreneurs.”
