Pohang City Symphony Orchestra, 176th Regular Concert 'Spring Yearning' ... Ontact Performance

Live Broadcast on Pohang City Official YouTube Channel at 7:30 PM on the 15th

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Pohang City announced on the 8th that the Pohang City Symphony Orchestra will broadcast the 176th regular concert "Yearning for Spring" live through its YouTube channel at 7:30 PM on the 15th.

This concert is the second non-face-to-face, contactless, audience-free live performance following the one held in February. The conductor will be Artistic Director and Conductor Im Heon-jeong.

Pohang City stated that this performance was planned to present the concert to local residents first ahead of the 2021 Symphony Festival performance held at the Seoul Arts Center.

The program consists of the overture from Mozart's opera "The Magic Flute," Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 27, and Beethoven's Symphony No. 7. The theme melody of Mozart's song "Yearning for Spring" in the third movement of Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 27 is also the theme of this concert's title.

Kim Byeong-sam, Director of the Pohang City Arts Troupe, said, "Although offline performances are difficult due to COVID-19, we hope that Pohang citizens will enjoy and appreciate the bright spring atmosphere along with the beautiful melodies of the symphony orchestra through the online live performance."
