Installation of 2.9t LPG Storage Facilities in 11 Villages with Fewer Than 150 Households
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do announced on the 8th that it will promote a project to supply LPG small storage tanks in urban gas underserved areas.
The province will install LPG small storage tanks and pipelines to supply LPG to villages with 150 households or fewer where urban gas supply is difficult.
In rural fishing villages, it has been identified that residents bear higher fuel costs compared to urban gas due to the use of oil boilers or LPG containers. With the installation of LPG small storage tanks, it is expected that gas can be used more affordably and safely.
This year, a total of 11 locations will have LPG small storage tanks installed, including one funded by the national government and ten funded by the provincial government.
The LPG storage facilities will have a capacity of 2.9 tons and will be installed using idle village land.
For households where connection to the storage facility is difficult, small storage tanks with a capacity of 0.25 tons will be installed.
Meanwhile, since the project began in 2014 until last year, LPG small storage tanks have been installed in 40 villages, supplying gas to 1,735 households.
