According to the Central Election Commission's election statistics system, at this time, Oh Se-hoon, the candidate from the People Power Party, received 57.34%, while Park Young-sun, the candidate from the Democratic Party of Korea, received 39.45% of the votes.

Out of 3,692,212 votes counted, candidate Oh received 2,102,769 votes, and candidate Park received 1,446,581 votes.

With his victory assured, candidate Oh expressed his thoughts at the People Power Party's vote counting office in Yeouido, Seoul, saying, "Being given the opportunity to work again during this critical time, I will accept it as a supreme mandate to skillfully and swiftly resolve the numerous pressing issues one by one, and to embrace the many citizens who are suffering."
