[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] Hyosung Heavy Industries announced on the 7th that it will open the model house for Harrington Tower Seocho officetel in the Seocho-dong area of Seocho-gu, Seoul on the 9th and begin full-scale sales.

Harrington Tower Seocho consists of one building with 7 basement floors and 16 above-ground floors, totaling 285 units with exclusive areas ranging from 18 to 49㎡. By exclusive area, there are △75 units of 18㎡ △120 units of 42㎡A △15 units of 42㎡B △30 units of 44㎡ △15 units of 46㎡ △15 units of 48㎡ △15 units of 49㎡.

The officetel sales schedule opens subscription applications on the 13th, and winners will be announced the next day on the 14th. Contracts will be conducted over two days from the 15th to the 16th.

Anyone aged 19 or older can apply without a subscription savings account, and winners are preferentially allocated with 20% for Seoul residents and 80% for other regions. Mid-term loans are available up to 50% of the sale price. The officetel sales rights are recognized as non-homeowners when applying for apartments, and resale restrictions last until ownership transfer registration (unregistered resale is restricted for one year from the completion date).

The Seocho-gu area where Harrington Tower Seocho is located is a region densely packed with the largest office towns and commercial facilities in Korea, such as Gangnam Station central business district and Samsung Town. Additionally, administrative institutions like Seocho Legal Town, the Diplomatic Center, and Seocho-gu Office, as well as educational facilities such as Seoul National University of Education and Korea National University of Arts, are nearby, making it a traditionally steady rental demand area. Namseoul Terminal Station on Seoul Subway Line 3 is located 130m away (straight-line distance), and road networks including Nambusunhwan-ro, Seochojungang-ro, Seocho-daero, as well as Gyeongbu Expressway and Gangnam Circular Urban Expressway, are well established for both city and intercity travel.

Harrington Tower Seocho is characterized by residential officetels composed of 1-2 room types reflecting the preferences of actual residents. Each unit is designed to be advantageous for ventilation and lighting, and built-in wardrobes are provided free of charge in most units, including studio types. Additionally, to enhance space utilization, ‘ㄷ’-shaped kitchens (in two-room types) and walk-in dressing rooms (in some units) are provided.

A sales official stated, "The location advantage of being a station area just 2-3 minutes on foot from Namseoul Terminal Station on Seoul Subway Line 3 and the product reflecting the latest residential trends have generated high expectations even before sales began," adding, "Since officetels can be applied for without using subscription savings accounts and only require a deposit, they are expected to be a good housing alternative for actual demanders such as newlyweds who lack points."

The Harrington Tower Seocho model house is located in the Seocho-dong area of Seocho-gu, Seoul.
